Hi, my name is Kara Blokland. I am an equine photographer and videographer based in Guelph, ON. I am also a horse owner, and I love documenting special moments shared between horse and rider.

My favourite thing about photography and videography is the process of development. When I look back at my old photos and video projects, I can see the improvement in my eye, skills, and knowledge. I also love that capturing media is unique – yes, there is a set of basic rules that most photographers will follow (including myself), but it is also okay to break those rules to stand out, and to follow your own eye.
